I don't actually have that much makeup but I seem to manage fine with what I've got! From my pictures you can probably tell I really like vintage bits and bobs. I believe I grew my love for vintage trinkets and furniture from my mum. I would still like to find a few more things to complete my makeup storage, but anyway here we go...
1. These draws are mega cute, and I made them from two HTC boxes. I decorated then with scrapbooking paper to make it pretty. In the draws I keep my most vital makeup essentials...Foundation, concealer and of course tinted moisturiser. It's important to personalise things in your bedroom to make you feel comfortable and at home.
2.This patterned tin is the perfect size for my lipsticks! I only have three at the moment and they all fit in. It's from a friend ( Megan) and it goes really well with my red, blue and white colour theme.
You often find small, cute tins and boxes in shops like Cath Kidson and girls gift shops.
3. I hate keeping ear buds in the packet because the packaging is really ugly and boring, so after searching for a while I came across this cute piggy pot in a charity shop! :) it was only 99pence, BARGAIN! And it happened to fit my earbuds very nicely.
This wired pot holds cotton wool pads which I use for taking nail polish off, sorry I don't know where it's from, but things like this are sold in charity shops and antique shops. I think using small pots and boxes is an ideal way to make your room tidy and neat.
These dolls are beautiful! I just have them for decoration, but I have to admit I have fallen fully in love with them! ;)
3.This box was originally a jewellery box that my mum had as a girl, however I have used it to organise eyeshadow pallets and single eyeshadows. Now it's much easier to find what I need in the morning. Try and organise your makeup so lipsticks in one place, mascara in another etc. Rather than having it all jumbled up in one giant box.
4.This wooden box was a brilliant find in Oxfam Charity Shop, for 79pence! WOW! It's always good to browse Charity Shops because you never know what you'll find. ;) I keep all my eye makeup in there such as my mascaras and eyeliners. I surrounded it with china pigs brought also in a Charity Shop auction. ( Sorry if this is getting tedious!) Next to the pigs I keep a small vase filled with flowers that I find in my back garden, this adds a pretty, girly touch in your room ( If that's what tickles your fancy?) And also a candle that I light every night before bed, this gets me in a sleepy mood, we all need beauty sleep!
5.I got this blue and white plate for a present from my grandparents. It is beautifully painted and in my favourite colours, I also have a matching teacup to keep beads in. On this plate I keep all my daily essentials that I use all the time. Having them right next to me means I can easily use the products ( very lazy..I know!) If you like this idea you can buy plates from basically any charity shop and in which ever colours you like. I think they look very glamorous and classic.
6. I have too many lip balms, I know! But they are so cheap and I like experimenting with a different one each day. I put them in a small chest of draws which was brought from a second hand furniture shop. They look really neat and I no longer ave to dig deep into my handbag to find one
7. I love nail polish! I have a lot of different colours and its hard to find a bag or box to fit them all in. I found this mini wardrobe in a second hand furniture shop (again!) All my nail polishes fit in there and look cute at the same time!
I hope you liked seeing some pictures of my bedroom because I definitely enjoyed taking them! Remember your room is an area to chill out and relax so make sure you feel super comfy in it keep it tidy.
Love you
