Well hello Mr. RaRa

Heya everyone,
Well as the weather has been improving (yyiiiipe!) I searched through my summer wardrobe and found a rara skirt. Iam sorry as I don't know the real name but a 'RaRa' seems perfectly suited. I picked out two fab outfits so here we go....
*Disclaimer- I apologise for another two selfies but I don't have any real models ;)
My Rara skirt is from New Look and was only £5!  I paired this with a plain stripy top (H&M) which  is an vital to have because.....well....yeah! I rolled the sleeves up to make it look a bit more summery and pretty. In my hair I have crocheted flowers in multicolours ( they're marvellous)  . I think these look really girly and perfect for spring. I decided to use this mini picnic basket for a handbag because baskets are adorable!! It also makes the outfit look quirky and fun.
I do excuse that in this photo it looks like I have a giant blue hat on, but I don't it is a Chinese parasol.
For this outfit I wore a thin white baggy shirt from Zara which I love! I tucked it into my Rara skirt. The main colour scheme for this was red, in my hair I wore a red and white poka dot tie thingmabob, red, chunky beads (Monsoon) and a pale red lip stick (Applelicious in big red apple). For a handbag I decided to go quirky again with a small, red basket.
Ta very much! Hope you liked my outfits. Love

Megan's Essential Summer Bargains

Sun, shorts and sunglasses... I think summer is nearly here!
Here in England we've been waiting for this moment through our very long and very cold winter, so lets make the most of long days, warm evenings and the gorgeous sunshine!

In this blog post I'm going to be sharing my essential summer bargains to make summer 2013 the best one yet!

I think it's fair to say that in summer we all try to wear as little make-up as possible to give our skin its well-deserved sunshine glow; so clear, flawless skin would be nice once in a while! For the past month I've been searching for a decent skin product that actually does what it says, and yes, I may have finally found it.
The brand is called T-Zone and it uses the natural scent of tea tree (very beneficial source for pores) to clear your skin and leave it feeling fresh, revived and most importantly, clean. So far I've bought 3 of their products and they are all fabulous for my skin!

1. My favourite of the 3: Deep Pore Cleansing Cream Wash
Every night, after my shower, I apply this onto dry skin and gently massage everywhere on my face for about 30 seconds. It is amazing and surprisingly quick reacting, as the first day I used this I woke up the next day with practically a new face! (slightly exaggerated!) All my small breakouts had reduced in redness and size dramatically, leaving me to just use a tiny bit of concealer to cover slightly.
2. Invigorating Cooling Scrub
Once again, I use this in the evening and apply it onto a wet face and scrub (gently, it's quite rough on skin). You can actually feel it purifying your skin once it's been on for a while which is great because you feel good too.
3. Skin Cleaning Face Moisturiser
I apply this every evening and morning to revive and (obviously) moisturise my face. It's great and I feel so fresh and confident after the application because I know that some moisturisers can just be oily and pretty bad for your skin, but this is one less worry when using any T-Zone product, especially this one.

Another amazing benefit to T-Zone is that it is extremely cheap! £5 for 3 great products is one good bargain if you ask me!

This is the season when your legs are always out, whether you're wearing shorts, a dress or a skirt, so these two items will help you have beautiful legs for any occasion.

So first of all is the Satin Care shave gel for dry legs, I find this gives me a smooth shave and also prevents moisture loss whilst shaving. So two great reasons to treat yourself and also I bought it for only £1.99, which is another great bargain.
Secondly is the Garnier Nourishing Lotion, which is an amazing moisturiser and it also lasts a lot longer than other body moisturisers that I've used before. This is great for me because I hate moisturising so the little I have to do it, the better to be honest! And finally, like all the others- it was another wonderful bargain- only £1.99! :)

We all need a fruity, happy smell to stay beside us in our bags throughout summer and I think I've found one worthy of this important essential! It's the Impulse Sweet Smile scent which smells fabulous, words can't describe it! Like all of the Impulse range, it's gentle on your skin and makes you happy just with a quick spray of heaven. I got this for £1 and it is amazing for every occasion and by far my new favourite scent by Impulse so far (sorry True Love!)

So with all these summer treats, I think I'm ready for the sun! For under £10 this set of essentials will make your summer that extra bit more fabulous!

Enjoy!

Packing for a Sleepover

Here are my essentials for packing for a sleepover... Enjoy!
  • You need a good bag that you can fit everything in. I have a Cath Kidston olive green polka dot bag that is the perfect size for a one-night stay.
  • Comfy pyjamas, preferably not winter ones because you will probably get too hot.
  • Lots of cleansing wipes in case you have a make over and to keep your face fresh whilst you're there. I've packed some St Ives cleansing wipes.
  • A good moisturiser because you probably won't have time to exfoliate in the evening, I use Simple moisturiser.
  • Make-up for makeovers, you might not want to bring your favourites in case they get damaged or lost.
  • A face mask for a relaxing girly evening.
  • A good movie, perhaps Wild Child or Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
  • A midnight feast to share with all your friends.

I hope you have enjoyed this and will no longer have trouble packing for a sleepover!

Megan's Beauty Favourites

Hi guys,
Lately I've found some AMAZING products and I thought I could write a post about all of them :)

  • T-Zone, I've got 4 products from this skincare range and I love them sooo much! They really do help to prevent and get rid of spots, and I love the natural scent of tea tree that is perfect for getting refreshed.
  • Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off Mascara, this is great for lengthening your lashes and it's definitely a must buy and one I'll certainly be using again.
  • NYC Applelicious Lip Balm, I have this in the colour Applelicious Pink and it moisturises my lips and is a beautiful bold hot pink!
  • Nivea Lip Butter Raspberry Rose, this smells lovely and is great to just put on your lips to leave them soft and great for a natural pinky colour.
  • No 7 Lash and Brow Perfector, I love this because when you're not wearing any or only a little make-up, you can just perfect your brows and lashes, great for on the go too.
  • No 7 Blemish Cover, It's coverage is great and I can rely on it to keep working throughout the entire day.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and we might be doing more in depth posts from some of these products in these next few weeks!
Bye bye

Afternoon Tea- Patisserie Valerie, Oxford

After a visit to the famous city of Oxford's shops, we ventured further down the high street to find a small cafe called Patisserie Valerie. We both had cream tea for two and had a very enjoyable experience! Quiet tea shops like these are a perfect way to socialise with one or two of your friends, it is a quiet and peaceful break from the busy city centre.

Escaping

Its always hard when life takes over and you forget about the little things, like having some time to yourself or catching up with your closest friends. A great way to release energy is go for a long adventure. We ventured out for a nice long, relaxing walk around our village. Dipping our feet in water, climbing trees, and just having a nice gossip.

Phoebe- Bath Time

A long boring day at school? I know exactly how you feel! If you've had a stressful day you probally want to escape the chaos of everyday life, and hide away from nagging parents and strict teachers. A great way to relax is spend a nice long 20-30 mins in a walm, soapy bath of hot water. Here are some tips on how to make your bath time a luxorious expirence...

>Before you even start pouring your bath, lay out a clean, fresh towl beside your bath so you don't get cold as soon as you hop out. I also have a magazine or book, my personal favourite Teen Vogue, which i can flick through whilst lying there. Try not to bring something that you really care about in the bath like a ipad or even a libary book  because dropping these could be a disaster! Also keep a glass of cold water or juice by the bath, then if you get a bit hot and uncomfortable you can take a sip to cool you down. You can even put on some soothing music, I like the beach boys.
> When it comes to pouring the water try and get it to the perfect tempreture. I like mine boiling hot, but its what works for you. Now is also a good time to add bubble bath, I am washing my hair so decided not to...
> To make it the perfect atmosphere I like to light a few candles, I find they really calm me down and make me sleepy. But make sure you have your parents permission to do so first, the candle on the left is scented which also adds to the atmosphere ...

> Hair Products I like to use in the bath- You don't have to wash your hair in the bath, some prefer not to. However I cant really be botherd to have a shower after :/ (Lazy!)
Shampoo- I use Tresemme's Volume Shampoo. Im not an expert on shampoos but this seems to work.So far, since using this it has decreased the amount of split ends I get. However I havent noticed its not giving me much volume,  maybe this is because my hair has alot of volume already.
Conditioner-Aussie Three minute Miricle- This works a treat! It makes my hair silkyer and softer. As I have thick hair that gets easily tangled this has become a bit of a life saver for me! Same as all the other Aussie products it smells AMAZING! I dont use it every time I wash my hair but around once a week to get the full affect.
For much more hair product advise check out Megan's post where you will find out alot more information.

> What i use in the bath..
Simple, Kind to Skin Invigorating Shower gel- I mentioned this in my last post, and how much I love it! You should definitely check it out.
Jhonson's baby oil- As the weather in Britain is freezing at the moment, this means dry skin. :( I use mosturiser, but for that extra moister I dug this product out from my box. It works well and my skin is super soft all the time. However athroughout the day it made my skin feel a bit greasy. I wouldnt use this on an everyday basis.

> After the bath
Aussie Dual personality, frizz control & Conditioning milk- I use this product after I get out of the shower to try and prevent my hair from going crazy or turning to knots (in my case dread locks!) It smells different to normal Aussie products, but just as good. I like the consistency of it alot. I was unsure when it said "Conditioning Milk" because I'm not a bit fan of really runny products that drip all over your hands:  it is quite thick and easy to aply.

Garnier Body, Intensive Seven days ultra- softening Lotion- I love the feel that this gives my skin, and for me it does last a long time. I was automatically drawn in becasue of the "Shea Butter" sign. Shea butter makes me think, creamy, thick and just lovley! Once coating myself in this the smell lasts all day which it brilliant! I haven't tryed out many body lotions in my time, so if you could recommend any please write it in the comments down below because I really need your help!

Valseline Aloea Fresh- Well I suppose its just a deodorant? It has worked for me so far!

Nivea Sensitive Moisturiser, for Men- I know this says for men but I was in desperate need for some face moisturiser and my dads was there so I thought I would just use this. And ever since I have really liked it! Its completey unscented and just a plain moisturiser which is hard to find these days. My skin feels fesh, untouched and natural. Thanks Nivea.

Finish your evening off with a mug of hot choclate, all ready to sleep.
Thankyou for reading this, and I hope you have a nice bath tonight.

Megan- My Hair Care Routine

Looking after your hair is essential and here is my routine of how I care for mine.

1. I wash my hair every 2-3 days because my hair naturally isn't very greasy but you should wash your hair as often as it needs to be. I advise you to not wash your hair everyday because the shampoo strips all of the natural oils from your hair and your hair will become dry and frizzy. Finding any product that is suited to you is a challenge and this is why I like to change my shampoo and conditioner frequently. At the minute I'm using Pantene which is simple and a nice texture for thicker hair like mine. I also like TRESemmé, L'Oreal and Herbal Essences and they're also cheap so you can experiment with what suites you too.

2. When my hair is still damp I spray Pantene Heat Defence onto a brush and comb it into my hair, focusing on the ends to avoid having split ends. I find it adds good moisture to your hair too.

3. Curly/wavy hair (optional)

I either use L'Oreal Studio Matt & Messy in my hair both when my hair is wet and dry (spray all over your head and tousle your hair to create wavy hair without any grease or weighing down)
Or I use Frizz-Ease Dream Curls in a moderate amount all over my hair when it is still wet.

3. Straight hair (optional)
Use a good serum such as Frizz-Ease or TRESemmé to give your hair more weight at the tips.
4. I prefer not to dry my hair with a blow dryer often, only for special occasions because, especially if you want curly hair, it's harder to style. Don't blow dry your hair on a very high heat because it can be very damaging.
5. Straight hair (optional)
Before straightening my hair I spray a tiny amount of heat protect on at the end of my hair and then I straighten at 180 degrees with my Cosmopolitan straighteners. Don't straighten your hair very often because is does damage your hair and it will begin to weaken and become frizzier than before.

6. Spray your hair with a hairspray to keep it firmly in place and avoid using too much because otherwise your hair will become straw-like and greasy.

I hope you found my hair routine interesting and have enjoyed finding out what products work best for me.

Phoebe - Good Morning!

Hey guys!
I am going to be showing you my morning routine, including; my everyday products, a cute outfit and other lovely things. So lets get started.....

1. In the holidays I manage to wake myself up at around 8:00. This doesn't mean I get out of bed straight away ( is that even possible!) But tend to spend 30-40 minutes catching up on youtube videos, checking my Instagram and texting friends.

2. I make my way down to breakfast after an hour of lying in. As you may know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I try my hardest not to miss it. For breakfast I like weetabix, a glass of
Milk and sometimes a piece of toast if I'm in a hungry mood.

3. Washing is really important! It's really not good to be smelly throughout the day :/ for my body I like to use 'Simple kind to skin invigorating shower gel.' This is by far my favourite shower gel because it smells fresh and minty. For washing my face I rely on ' Clearasil' it always seems to work on my skin and this one comes with a cool dispenser!

4. And of course I ALWAYS brush my teeth to keep them nice and white and prevent bad breath.

5. Next I get changed. Normally in the holiday I like to plan my outfit the night before which makes it easier and I also have a lot of fun choosing it out. I really like accessorising because it adds a bit more jazz to a plain outfit, its something that can easily be done, so why not give it a try. In this picture my dress if from Zara and my necklace is from New Look. I added the teddy bear  because its just so cute!
6. Hair! I like trying out different hairstyles, however at the moment my hair is about collar bone length and I'm desperately trying to grow it out! Anyway, my favourite style is a huge messy bun with a cute bow  at the front. I use this doughnut from New Look to achieve this look. Doughnuts are in fashion and are very cheap so it's worth buying one! This blue and white bow Is from Accessorise and I adore it!
7. Make-up! I enjoy doing my make-up so much! I am currently collecting make-up that i find in the drugstore. These are some makeups I use pretty much everyday...
Rimmel Londons Extra super lash Mascara- I LOVE this product, its reasonalbly cheap for such a popular brand. It does not make the eyelashes too long but gives that fluffy, delicate look...without clumps.
Rimmel London Stay Matte dual action concealer- I have to be honest, this product is just brilliant! i really dislike sparkeld concealers and founations because they just look really unatural and glossy. However this is different! Its matte making it blend in with your skin. It also has a small amount of medication as well to help heal the spot. It is the perfect match for my (very pale) skin tone.
Natural Collection lip gloss- I have this lip gloss in the colour Rasbberry Rippel (i think), its actually a bit too pale and pink. But it looks natural and pretty. I wouldn't really recommed this product but for £1.99 it was quite a good deal and has lasted me a good year or so.
Nivea Honey and Milk lip balm- This lip balm is nice and soothing, its smells glorious! I like to where it underneath lip stick or lip gloss  to moisturise the skin. Leaves my lips soft and silky.
