Back to School Beauty Haul

Hi guys! I went and bought few essentials on my pre-school haul! This part is skin care and hair products. I bought all these things to return to school and although my skin routine is quite time consuming, it gets rid of all your makeup. On those days where you don't have time to cleanse, tone and moisturise; use a cleansing wipe because they are quick and so easy to use on a one-off occasion!
Enjoy!

School make-up bag!

I like to keep some essential beauty bits in my school bag just in case, these are some great things to pack...

❤ Perfumes are good to spray after gym class and generally throughout the day, I have an H&M roll on perfume and a Yves Rocher mini spray(from megan 😄) these are both affordable and a small size.
❤ Tissues, you never know when you might need them!
❤ Gum, a great way to keep your breathe smelling fresh after lunch, you can also bring mints if your school are strict on gum.
❤ A compact mirror, mine is a lovely vintage cat one which belonged to my mum.
❤ Cath kidson wild rose hand cream- it smalls so nice!
❤ Make-up, I am allowed to wear make-up to school and I like to keep it natural with a bit of mascara and maybe some concealer.
❤ Anti-bacterial gel it soooooo important, school desks are swarming with bacteria! :/
❤Hair accessories for doing sport and for keeping your hair out the way.
❤ Lip balms are really natural and good for your lips I carry two so I can change it up a bit! The coconut one is from primark and the other one was a gift.

Back to school!

 Desk decoration!
This is going to be the first of our 'back to school'' blog series so I hope you enjoy!

I used 3 old jam jars to make cute pencil pots, a nice idea is to use labels or just white stickers to identify the pots, these are practically free and look super tidy! I also picked up a small red bucket which you can buy from craft shops like hobbycraft, this is the perfect size for a mini ,desk trash can for small rubbish you may want to get rid of whilst working.

It is always important to have some sticky notes near by to jot down things you need to remember such as  revision notes or weekly clubs ect. you can get them in all shapes sizes and colours to fit your taste.

Weekly planners are good for jotting down lessons, clubs and occasions throughout the week you don't   want to forget, mine one is from hello kitty and is one of my back to school essentials!

I sometimes like to have a scented candle burning whilst working to stop me from stressing and help me relax, mine is from sainsburys and smells great!
 See you next time byeee!

Also please comment and post requests for our back to school series, it would help a lot! Thanks x

Beauty: summer swaps!

So this blog is basically going to be about swapping all your spring / winter beauty products for all things summery and heat proof.... This is a beauty edition, comment down below if you would like to see a style edition!
1. Foundation can be heavy and if worn everyday and can be bad for your skin, during summer we need something light for those hot days in your garden. BB creams and tinted moisturisers are perfect for the summer.

2. Dark lipsticks always look great whilst getting festive for christmas and throughout winter, why not try some vibrant colours which are really on trend right now, if your a bit of a red lipstick junky (like me) try a brighter red for that pop of colour!

3. In the spring it was all about pastel colour nail polishes, and I loved them!  For this summer neon nail colours are really popular they look amazing and jazz up and outfit. The Barry M brand do great neon pinks, greens, blues, yellows which are all stunning.

4. Instead of using your everyday moisturiser try a moisturiser which encourages or creates a "summer glow" for your perfect bikini body, unless you like the pale look  (I have no choice, I just don't tan!) either way make sure you use sun cream.

5. This is something I'm promising to do this summer, instead of using my everyday natural coloured eyeshadows, I'm trying a pop of colour even if it is pale pink, it's a great opportunity to try new colours.

6. The finally swap is instead of  straightening hair every morning (we all know how tiering that can be!) embrace your natural hair. Curly "beach hair" is fashionable for this summer, if you have naturally straight hair and you're looking for more texture, there's products that can help you out. Megan mentioned her favourite salt spray in her last post.

Have a great summer guys!

Products I love!

I thought I'd share some recent products that I've been loving because I've been experimenting with different things, to branch out and develop my knowledge further!
1. The Rimmel I heart lasting finish in shade 98 Azure
A beautiful blue with a pearl shine
2. Sanctuary spa moisturing body scrub
This is so moisturising and is most effective after shaving
3. Boots botanics cleansing face wipes
I bought them because they were half price but I love the softness as well as how they stay fresh for longer.
4. T zone deep pore cleansing cream wash
My favourite cleanser of all time- I couldn't live without it!
5. L'Oreal studio matt and messy salt spray
Gives a great tousled effect and perfect for an easy summer style.
6. Elf zit zapper
An unexpected winner! Even though it's Elf, it is surprisingly effective on pimples and small spots!
7. Original source mint shower gel
Refreshing fragrance for both morning and evening showers.
8. Maybelline The Rocket volume express
Gives me great volume and doesn't need building up much to look amazing.
9. Nivea SOS lip relief
Heals chapped lips overnight, I love it!
10. Soap & Glory hand food
Moisturising and smells DELICIOUS!

Thanks for reading :*

Oatmeal facial cleanser!

I have never really had my luck with finding a cleanser I can get easily and rely on throughout the 6 years we have to cope being a spotty teenager. So I thought of raiding the cupboards for something, I've tryed fruit face masks- which end up making a massive mess! Then I tryed oatmeal or rolled oats (really depends on what's in your kitchen cupboard!) in this post I will be telling you how I cleanse my face with oats...

First of all tie you hair up  to stop any oats getting in your Barnett. ( excuse these apolling pictures of me!)
1. Next remove all your makeup from the day I use these l'oreal cleansing wipes...

2.Next take a hand full of oats and pour them under Luke warm water for about 5 seconds until slimy, make sure you don't over water them otherwise they clump together.

3.Start applying the oats all over your face and rub in gently in a circular motion, is it just me or do you love the smell at this point!
4.Using a flannel rinse off the oats leaving your skin super soft and clean.
5. Now apply your moisturiser, the moisture will absorb quicker because the pores are still open.
That's it! Cheap, easy and a successful way to create clear skin!

Beauty June favourites!

So the month of Jun so far has been unsuccessful in trying new products...partly because I'm saving up for my school residential to Paris- please comment if there are any MUST buys for meg and I to buy in Paris! So I have just picked some bits and bobs that I have been living by...
- models own brushes
I'm defiantly not a brush expert/ obsessor however these brushes caught my eye, for only £10 in boots for all I was like WWWAHH!? they are sooooo soft and come in five different shapes / angles. Perfect for a brush beginner like moi.

Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation
I know in the picture it looks like a pretty manky bottle though its been loved.. <3 I wasn't a big foundation wearer I was a bb cream/ tinted moisturiser  type of girl.  But this foundation is quite light and doesn't give a "granny face" effect - as my mum describes a powerd face. It does have an annoying habit of  clinging to dry skin but just remember to moisturise before use! I have run out and need to repurchase (ASAP!)
Elf custom compact- now this was a risky buy at only £1.50 for the compact thingy and 45p for each eyeshadow! Yeah i know that is just amazing and highly unlikely the product will be that good...but no! I am really happy with this and use it all the time! You get a compact with four eyeshadow spaces and them chose the eyeshadow, lip palette and I completely forgot the other choice because it flew out of my head and was ages ago! :/ I have the natural colours ( of my choice) in..
Pink ice= pale champagne colour ( inner corners)
Moon dust=dark, shimmery brown ( outer corners)
Mocha= shimmery brown with a hint of bronze (all over the eyelid)
Drift wood= deep, dark brown ( upper lash line)
Collection extreme wear black eyeliner - my new everyday use product! I previously brought this in dark blue ( seriously!?) before discovering I like naturals and blacks... This is so simple to use and last all through the day however I would recommend watching some tutorials on youtube before exposing you're self into the dodgy world of wonky eyeliner flicks :/ trust me I would know!
Rimmel London lash accelerator- I found this under my bed after six sad months of loss ( who doesn't love finding mascara under their bed?) this gives and even consistency and a very natural effect ( or affect, I never know which one ) my favourite thing about it is the thin plastic applicator perfect for the bottom lashes aswell!
That is all for my June beauty favourites! Hope you enjoyed and be looking forward to seeing some exciting residential blogs in a few weeks :))) !!!
Love you
