We went on The Duke of Edinbrugh!

Hey,
Yesterday we got back from doing our Duke of Edinbrugh expedition, for those of you who aren't aware of D of E it is basically an Award Scheme people can do throughout their early adulthood where we go on walking expeditions and camp out with friends. So we went for a two day, one night walking expedition. Despite losing the map, forgetting my cutlery and getting a bit chilly in the evening I had a great time and I think my friends did aswell! Our bags were extremly heavy but we really enjoyed the independence of carrying all our own stuff and walking together without parents.

Hope you enjoyed this quick post ;)

Spring vibes

Hey!
I felt we haven't talked for ages; so instead of doing anything beauty related I decided to do a small update on my world. It is finally Spring and over here in Britain the weather is giving us hope for lots of sunny day to come.
I picked my sunglasses up from New Look (floral) and Primark (Circular blue) as they both tied nicely with my obsession of pastel blues and pale pinks. Which reminds me to pick up some pastel nail polishes for the Easter holidays coming up!

My sunglasses aren't the only fashion item I have been "springing up" (if you know what I mean ) ;)
Although I loved the sweater weather season I have to admit it feels good to wear crop tops again. I found this lovely floral dress/top in my wardrobe which reminds me of spring and sunshine.

And on one of  those sunny days I had to indulge in a nobbly bobbly lolly, of course!

It always make me really happy when my garden starts springing into life with wild flowers and bright green leaves, I picked a few and put them into a jug to brighten up the atmosphere in my bedroom.

Me and my friend (Chloe) went to do some sketching in a museum and spent an hour or so outside in the sun, drawing, painting and colouring in our drawings. This was so fun and it just felt so summery and nice!

Thanks for reading peeps! hope you have a great Spring season and enjoy the sunshine,
(especially in the UK because we never get any here!)
Bye

Squeaky Clean.

My skincare has been completely changed over the past months. My skin is reasonably normal but can get slightly dry in the colder months. Two of the Liz Earle products I've been using aren't cheap and I received them as birthday/ Christmas prezzies, however I am still loving mainly drugstore products for my skin too. In the evenings I use my 'Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser' to remove all my make-up. I use a muslin cloth rinsed in hot water to take it off. Secondly, the 'Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Purifying Cleanser' helps to get the last remains of my make-up off from the day. Once on the skin, it melts in and is a smooth, creamy consistency to rub onto my face.(Soap and Glory skincare is on sale in Boots at the minute!) About once to twice a week I use the 'Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask' and leave it on for no more than 15 minutes. Even if you just put it on blemishes, it's very effective at clearing pores. I finish off with a toner and moisturiser afterwards. Byeee, Megan :* xxx

Back to School Beauty Haul

Hi guys! I went and bought few essentials on my pre-school haul! This part is skin care and hair products. I bought all these things to return to school and although my skin routine is quite time consuming, it gets rid of all your makeup. On those days where you don't have time to cleanse, tone and moisturise; use a cleansing wipe because they are quick and so easy to use on a one-off occasion!
Enjoy!

School make-up bag!

I like to keep some essential beauty bits in my school bag just in case, these are some great things to pack...

❤ Perfumes are good to spray after gym class and generally throughout the day, I have an H&M roll on perfume and a Yves Rocher mini spray(from megan 😄) these are both affordable and a small size.
❤ Tissues, you never know when you might need them!
❤ Gum, a great way to keep your breathe smelling fresh after lunch, you can also bring mints if your school are strict on gum.
❤ A compact mirror, mine is a lovely vintage cat one which belonged to my mum.
❤ Cath kidson wild rose hand cream- it smalls so nice!
❤ Make-up, I am allowed to wear make-up to school and I like to keep it natural with a bit of mascara and maybe some concealer.
❤ Anti-bacterial gel it soooooo important, school desks are swarming with bacteria! :/
❤Hair accessories for doing sport and for keeping your hair out the way.
❤ Lip balms are really natural and good for your lips I carry two so I can change it up a bit! The coconut one is from primark and the other one was a gift.

Back to school!

 Desk decoration!
This is going to be the first of our 'back to school'' blog series so I hope you enjoy!

I used 3 old jam jars to make cute pencil pots, a nice idea is to use labels or just white stickers to identify the pots, these are practically free and look super tidy! I also picked up a small red bucket which you can buy from craft shops like hobbycraft, this is the perfect size for a mini ,desk trash can for small rubbish you may want to get rid of whilst working.

It is always important to have some sticky notes near by to jot down things you need to remember such as  revision notes or weekly clubs ect. you can get them in all shapes sizes and colours to fit your taste.

Weekly planners are good for jotting down lessons, clubs and occasions throughout the week you don't   want to forget, mine one is from hello kitty and is one of my back to school essentials!

I sometimes like to have a scented candle burning whilst working to stop me from stressing and help me relax, mine is from sainsburys and smells great!
 See you next time byeee!
